Wisdom Reviewed and Passed Along

So, who's got the lucky hand today? It's none other than the suave sherpa and accomplished triathlete of the wine country, 21st Century Mom. She is the March winner of the random drawing for the book, "Wisdom of the Peaceful Warrior," by Dan Millman. She'll get the traveling book to which she'll add her signature and send on its way at the end of April, and she'll get a copy for herself to keep in her library. Go to her blog for the next chance to win.

I was excited to receive the book as it would follow up the fabulous movie, "Way of the Peaceful Warrior." It 's been years since seeing the movie and much of the insight beautifully portrayed has faded from memory.

What I found in the pages of the book was a uniquely formatted story where the author weaves together lessons taught my his mentor in the original movie with written explanations and multiple examples of key points between the pages. Millman masterfully uses dozens of profound quotes of history's greatest philosophers and minds to interest and pull in the reader.

It's a quick read and I found myself highlighting passages and keeping a separate tablet of my favorites in between the pages. It's well worth the time and I'm sure I'll be going back to it often to provoke my thoughts and interests.

Be sure to visit 21st Century Mom's blog for how you can win a copy of the book and add your signature to the inside cover for Dan Millman's personal collection.

Stay tuned...
