Hey there again ‘BoomerNation, it’s time to update y’all on the progress of the “Double Your Money” donation pledge.
The goal is to raise $2,500 by February 17, 2006 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) in support of my running in the AT&T Austin (Half) Marathon. An anonymous philanthropist had pledged to match the amount of money raised dollar for dollar and donate it to the Journey of Hope Center… but only…
… if $2,500 is raised for LLS. That’s right y’all… raise one dollar shy of the goal and the Journey of Hope Center gets a big fat zero!
As of this posting the amount raised for LLS is $1,900.00
So, with 11 days to raise $600.00 there’s a bit of work to do. If you haven’t been to TriathlonCares this would be a fabulous time to do so.
I’m just sayin’
Stay tuned…

I think what you are doing is great and kudos to the matching pledge! My dad has lymphoma, so I think this is a great cause and will kick in a donation myself. Have a great 1/2.
Just a little more to go now bro! Good work!!
This was perfect timing for me to FINALLY get caught up on blogs. I have donated something since I will not be at the Austin 1/2 myself (as I was hoping earlier), it will be almost 1 year since my dad died, and of course he had lymphoma. Thank you for all you do!
