Tagged Boomer

OK, 'BoomerNation... so the other night I'm sitting at my computer cruising blogland for the triathlon chattermatter that inspires, motivates, and entertains when what do I discover? I've been tagged by none other than our Team in Training and blogging sistah (and all around good person), Kim. If you haven't been to her blog yet well, my friend you're missing out on a bunch of entertaining and inspring posts. Give her site a visit and leave some comment props.

She's racing in the Mooseman Half Iron Triathlon- her first half Ironman - on June 3rd in the fight against blood cancers. In a recent post she wrote the following about her plans:

"With the triathlon, I will trim down and feel great about the muscles I once had 2 years ago when I participated in 3 triathlons. I want to honor those who have touched my heart in immeasurable ways. Mom McGuire is my angel, my inspiration and my #1 hero and I am honored to run the triathlon in her memory. I will honor my Grandpa who is battling prostate cancer. I will continue to honor all of my other special heroes from TNT past events. And this year I will also honor my blog buddy, TriBoomer's uncle, Robert Brennan, Sr."

Now, that's what I'm talking about!

So, anyway... she tagged me with the following:

1. Find the nearest book.
2. Name the book & the author.
3. Turn to page 123.
4. Go to the fifth sentence on the page. Copy out the next three sentences and post to your blog.
5. Tag three more folks.

... so here it is...

The Wit & Wisdom of Winston Churchill: A Treasury of More Than 1,000 Quotations and Anecdotes by James C. Humes

"The gratitude of every home in our island, in our Empire, and indeed throughout the world, except in the abode of the guilty, goes out to the British airmen who, undaunted by odds, unwearied in their constant challenge and mortal danger, are turning the tide of the world war by their prowess and by their devotion. Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few.

NEVER STOP, NEVER WEARY, AND NEVER GIVE IN."

Indeed, Mr. Prime Minister, we are all in debt to them all.

Now it's my turn to tag... look out IM Able, Spokane Al, and Run Bubba Run ... you've been tagged.

Stay tuned...

You da man, Boomer!

Thanks for the tag.

I wonder if I (along with IM Able) could get exemptions to this tag. You see IM Able previously tagged me with this specific tag, and I did my duty, and tagged three others.

Thanks for your consideration.

I might have to also take the exemption. It's a crazy tag circle.

"NEVER STOP, NEVER WEARY, AND NEVER GIVE IN"

Good words to live by.

NaBloComHo stands for National Blog Comment Ho. For the month of January, you make a point to comment on the majority of the blogs you read. It was Bolder's idea and you can read about it here.

Thanks, that's indeed inspiring. Not sure how I managed to lose you from my blog roll when I went to Blogger beta, but glad to have you back on the blogs I read now. :)

OH NO!!! I was tagged and didn't realize it!!

Boom, big time apoligies! I'm going to have to get creative with this tag to make up for having my head in the sand for so long.

Hmmmm...I think I have an idea...

As you say -- stay tuned!!
