The flight to St. Croix was nice and smooth. Once off the plane the first thing I noticed was the temperature and the humidity were WAY, WAY lower than last year. Woo Hoo!
The team swam about 1,000 yards this morning in the ocean just steps from the hotel room. The water also was clear and cool in the mid-70's. Woo Hoo, again!
Then trouble. When pumping air into the front tire of my bike I discovered a broken valve extender. So, now I have a flat tire and no way to put air in it! Panic!!!!
I'm off to the race briefing in Christianstead and a quick trip to the bike shop. Either I'll get it repaired or I'll borrow/rent a tire for the race.
